SHOW DESCRIPTION:  

The Famous Welde Family has been featured most recently in the animated Disney Movie “Brother Bear”. Also appearances in the movie “The Big Fish” and numerous appearances with Universal, Disney and 20th Century Fox Studios. Most importantly their mission is promoting the preservation of bears, Their Grizzly Falls Exhibit, complete with water falls and beautiful scenery allows the bears to enjoy a wonderful playtime throughout the day where the public can see their hilarious and inspirational antics as they teach us by “Simply by being bears”.


 

SHOW CONTENT:

 

  • Educational information throughout the show on the breeding habits, habitats and loss of habitat of bears in the wild,
  • Observe and experience each bear’s individual personality.
  • Learn what to do in the event of an encounter with a bear in the wild.
  • Love and personal relationship with each bear and each member of the Welde family is displayed.
  • See the bears catch rings, walk on hind legs, perform rollovers, balance on their hands and have fun dancing with the Welde trainers,. They shoot basketballs, climb and display their natural behaviors.
  • Grizzly Falls includes playing in water with various toys that are used to stimulate natural behaviors. Their playtime is a favorite to observe in the waterfall and pool.
  • Patrons get the opportunity to “Feed a Grizzly bear” using a stick through the fence and cage to keep it safe, the experience that a patron has of a bear actually taking food from them is something they will cherish for years to come.

 

 

 
SHOW LENGTH: Maximum of 3 twenty minute shows a day. Trainers available for questions at the end of each show.
(Please call and discuss show times with the Weldes prior to your date. Show times need to be scheduled around the bears feeding times and this will improve your show quality)
 

Display: : VERY IMPORTANT...PLEASE READ...The Bears will be displayed prior to and between shows as much as possible and totally at trainers discretion. Factors that limit display time are loud rides, sound checks or loud bands at a stage nearby causing unexpected loud noises. Also other animals in close proximity can distract the bears. To assure you have a longer display time, consider your location and make sure you follow the requirements and place them in as quiet an area as possible. The people will come to see these incredibly beautiful animals wherever you place them in your park.

 
 
BUYER SUPPLIES:
  • Seating ( bleachers preferred )
  • Electric: (1) 100 amp. 220 volt service within 100' of show area, 24 hours a day
  • Water hook-ups within 100' of show area, 24 hours a day
  • 2 Laborers to help with set-up and tear-down
  • 4 bags of sawdust per day, if needed (2 cubic yards of sand may need provided if the ground is too rough, so the bears paws don't get scraped up when they are getting out of the pool.)
  • Dumpster near show site. Emptied daily.


 
SPACE REQUIREMENTS :
  • 2 layouts available: 100' deep X 100' width, or 90' deep X 120' width flat, dry hard area
  • 85 feet wide X 85 feet deep or approximately 7300 square feet using one arena

 

 
SET UP AND TEAR DOWN:

6 hours to set up and 4 hours to tear down.
