The Alberti Flea Circus, Alberti’s Street Organ Shows, and Professor Albert's Punch and Judy Puppet Show are family entertainment at its finest. Evolving from a traditional base, each of these shows has kept the age-old attraction while adapting to the needs of today’s venues.

The Alberti Flea Circus -

The flea circus is an almost legendary part of fair and festival entertainment, with a history going back well over one hundred years. The Alberti Flea Circus capitalizes on that history with a self-contained trailer-mounted stage and an old-time banner line. Alberti has up-dated the flea circus so that crowds as large as 500 can "see" these delightful performers, including Paddy O’Reilly Shaughnessy who waves an Irish Flag, Captain Spaulding who is shot from a cannon, and the daring diving bikini clad Dardenell who does the traditional flea circus high dive. As the children in the audience encourage and cheer the fleas, help with their props, and even provide the musical cues for their "incredible feats," the contagious energy and enthusiasm soon establishes the Alberti Flea Circus as a "must see" entertainment at the fair. While nearly everyone has heard, and joked, about flea circuses, few have had the opportunity to actually experience one. The concept of a "real" flea circus not only attracts the attention of the media (a big advantage for the fair) but also captivates the crowd.

Alberti’s Street Organ Shows-

Alberti’s Strolling Street Organ Show features the beautiful tone of the 20-pipe (plus brass bell) English-built street organ and the entertainment skills of Alberti who has been delighting audiences at fairs and festivals for nearly 15 years. The exquisitely hand-painted street organ has a repertoire of over 60 songs and is capable of going to any part of the fairgrounds—after all the 18th century name for this organ was the portative organ. It is perfect for gate openings, strolling through food areas, near petting zoos, or down any lane of the fairgrounds. The Strolling Street Organ Show can be booked as a stand-alone event or in conjunction with one of Alberti’s other shows—the Alberti Flea Circus, The Kids’ Calaphonic Kudzu Kazoo Band and Street Organ Show, or the Senior Street Organ Show. No matter how you use it, the street organ will add a magical atmosphere to your event.

Professor Albert’s Punch and Judy Puppet Show-

The Punch and Judy Puppet Show is a fun-filled family friendly version of this 400-year old beloved puppet show. The stage is traditional, the puppets are hand-carved, and Mr. Punch is still his blustering, impulsive, irresponsible self but, in keeping with modern sensibilities, there is no killing the baby nor hitting Judy. Instead the show is a game of wits between Mr. Punch and Toby, the dog, with Judy, Joey the Clown, Jack Ketch (who has become a dog catcher), and the crocodile all joining in the fun.

Workshops for Children and Teachers-

When Jim Alberti is not at fairs and festivals he is available to teach a variety of age-appropriate programs at day cares, after-school programs, libraries, and recreation departments. Among these are the Imagination Workshop and Magic for Muggles.
