Tom
and Bonnie Brackney's MADCAP MUTTS have entertained all over the
world with Holiday on Ice, on television, and even on Broadway in
the original production of The Will Rogers Follies.
"Our success in training and owning second-hand mutts has evolved
into a desire to bring training techniques to the general public,
to encourage adoptions and help the dog owner with some pets' behavioral
problems," says Tom.
The
MADCAP MUTTS have joined forces with ORPHANS OF THE STORM, one of
the nations oldest independent (not for profit) animal shelters.
Founded by Irene Castle in the 20's and carried on by Thelma Zwirner
and her son in suburban Chicago, ORPHANS continues to expand and
care for thousands of dogs and cats each year.
Today, ORPHANS OF THE STORM places more than 2,000 animals in adoptive
homes each year. In partnership with ORPHANS, the MADCAP MUTTS are
able to help shelters all across America raise funds through entertainment
and education. These badly needed funds help ease the financial
burden of the daunting day-to-day task of caring for homeless animals
and placing them in adoptive homes.
