OF QUEEN NEFERTITI
Beautiful
colored statue of Queen Nefertiti. Wife of King Akhnaton. (18th
Dynasty 1370-1349 B.C.)

THE
GOLD MASK
The
massive gold mask was placed on the head of the mummy. The royal
headdress "Nemes" is inlaid with strips of lapis-lazuli
and is surmounted by the uraesus Uto, God of Lower Egypt and by
the vulture Nekhbet, Goddess of Upper Egypt. The plaited false beard
is only reserved for Gods and Kings. Eyebrows and eyelids inlaid
with lapis-lazuli. The mask is the most famous work art from Tutankhamun's
tomb. It is make of massive gold, and seems to be a true image of
the King. The eyes set close together, the fleshy lips, the form
of the nose and of the chin, all agree with the features of Tutankhamun's
mummy.

ON THE BACK OF A PANTHER
The
King wears the crown of Upper Egypt, the shendyt-kilt, and sandals.
In his hands he holds the straight staff and the flagellum. He stands
upon a pedestal, which is fixed upon the back of a Black Panther.

STATUE OF KHAFRA
Stone
statue of King Khafra builder of the 2nd pyramid at Giza. The falcon
Horus, mythological ancestor of the Pharaoh spreads his protective
wings behind his head. On each side of the throne is a "Sematawi"
the symbol for the union of Upper and Lower Egypt. The statue is
made of single bloc of metamorph anorthosite (diorite gneiss) from
Toshka in Nubia.

TUTANKHAMUN ROYAL KA
Life
size statue of Tutankhamun. Two statues were found in the antechamber
of the tomb, posted like two sentries to right and left of the entrance
to the sepulchral chamber. The king is represented as walking, with
a mace in his right had and a staff in his left. He is clothed only
by a kilt, and wears sandals and a large necklace and bracelets.
