COWTOWN USA REQUIREMENTS

SHOW DESCRIPTION:

This live exhibit contains an old time creamery where patrons participate in preparing a cow for milking, milking by hand or machine, pasteurizing for a finished product. Through their bi-lingual demonstrations they show that agriculture has no barriers. Kids get hands-on experiences with the process of making butter and ice cream using historic tools and machines in these processes, and they learn the concept of “Home Made” just the way Grandma used to do it!

 

SHOW SUPPLIES:

• Housing for animals
• Demonstrations (cow milking 3 times per day, goat milking 2 times per day)
• Demonstrations and hands on experience with making soap, butter and ice cream on site
• Crew
• All necessary health certificates
• All necessary equipment for exhibit
• Milk cans used for seating.
• Cowtown comes with Pony Rides, historical ice cream making by mule. Children in school programs given ice cream for free but pony rides and ice cream will be sold with no participation from the venue.



 
 

BUYER SUPPLIES:

• Parking for 1 semi-truck and 1 truck and trailer
• 2 people to help at load-in and load-out for approximately 1 hour
• (2) 110 volts, 30 amps.
• Water hook-up near site
• Dumpster for animal waste near show site, emptied daily
• Wash station(s)
• 3-4 bales of good quality hay per day
• 3 bags of shavings per day
• 1 hotel room from 1 day prior, through the duration of the event and 1 day after.


 
AREA NEEDED:
Minimum of 35’ x 45’ flat area, grass, dirt or asphalt (would prefer 50’ x 50’ if available)
 
SET-UP & TEAR-DOWN:
1 day set-up; 1 day for tear-down
 
DAILY MILEAGE TRAVELED:
500 miles (10 hours)
