Dear
Staff of the Marcan Tiger Preserve,
"Today I took my family to the Arkansas State Fair. On the
program, I saw that the Marcan tigers were one of the events. As
a mother, I was excited as my son loves white tigers and this was
our first opportunity to see one in person. As an animal lover,
I was apprehensive as I have been boycotting animal performances
for years due to the inhumane training methods. I was brought to
tears while watching the positive reinforcement and love shown to
the animals.
Andy
was great with the tigers. It was obvious that there was a mutual
affection between them. If it did not cause me to question my sanity,
I would swear that Bhutan was smiling when Andy was rubbing his
belly J. The staff was friendly, and Mike gave simple, concise information
about tigers and their plight. While visiting your website, I was
not surprised that he has a background in education. My son has
special needs and was able to follow the show easily. It gave us
a wonderful teaching opportunity to go home and look up information
on tigers and other animals facing extinction.
I
have never sent a letter or email regarding a show, event, service
or product. However, the show was awe inspiring and I wanted to
make sure that the staff knows how much their efforts can really
mean to people. To them I say:
Every
day you hear “great show”, but I want you to know that
the show can and does make a difference in peoples’ lives.
It will
live
on in my children’s minds, and reinforce my teachings of protecting
animals as a part of protecting our planet. It will live on in my
mind as the show that gave me hope in the humanity of ethical and
caring treatment of animals. And for that I thank you."
